RAM Holdings is Malaysia’s premier rating agency group. For 30+ years, we have helped corporates, investors and standard-setters make informed decisions. In 2016, we strategically focused our business in helping companies advance in sustainability and ESG.

Our Sustainability, ESG and Carbon Solutions support SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst stakeholders. We integrate climate risk and sustainability factors into our rating solutions which provide information on a company’s progress in ESG and climate goals.

This provides access to financing for companies to address priorities in various SDGs.

We pursue collaborative partnerships to help our stakeholders navigate the complexities of sustainability, ESG and carbon requirements. In 2024, RAM became a member of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability and social responsibility initiative.

We collaborate with Singapore-based MVGX Tech Pte Ltd and Carbon Rating Malaysia Sdn Bhd in September 2023 to introduce Carbon Management Solutions and develop a regional digital business in carbon accounting and carbon rating. This collaboration provides a low-cost solution for companies to measure their carbon footprint.

Our subsidiary RAM Sustainability Sdn Bhd is the first ASEAN-based provider of ESG ratings and second opinions. RAM Sustainability is an Approved Verifier for the certification of climate bonds by the Climate Bonds Standards Board. We have provided green and sustainability ratings for almost 40 companies across property, plantation, financial services and renewable energy (solar, hydro, waste-to-energy, REITs) sectors. Through RAM Rating Services Berhad, we support Malaysia’s zero carbon aspirations as one of the pioneer signatories to the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment’s Statement on ESG considerations in credit ratings. ESG credit impact assessments are included in all credit rating evaluations. To date, RAM Ratings has helped over 600 companies raise funds to develop sectors that span.
