The Kian Group of Companies stands at the forefront of sustainable innovation, driven by a mission to enhance the world through superior design and value. Our core purpose, encapsulated by “Better me, better we, better world,” underscores our deep commitment to environmental and social responsibility. With ambitious targets to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and achieve net Zero by 2050, Kian aligns closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on goals 3 (good health and well-being), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 12 (responsible consumption and production), and advancing goals 14 (life below water) and 15 (life on land).

At Kian Group, our business practices prioritize responsible consumption and sustainable production through innovative solutions. We emphasize the use of climate-positive materials and adopt circular economy principles. This includes using certified timber, reclaimed Timber, recycling ocean plastics into fabrics, and repurposing materials such as rice husk & coffee ground composites in our product lines. Our commitment to sustainability has earned significant recognition, including the Sustainability Star award at Archidex Show 2023 and accolades at various trade shows for our use of green materials.

Collaborations with partners like Heng Hiap Industries have yielded substantial achievements by transforming over 23.5 tons of ocean-bound plastic into 6,000 furniture pieces since 2020 equivalent to recycling 1.2 million yogurt cups. Beyond product innovation, we actively promote environmental stewardship through educational initiatives and community engagement, driving awareness and fostering sustainable practices among stakeholders.

Our dedication extends to economic empowerment, exemplified by partnerships with organizations like the Dignity Foundation to create job opportunities for marginalized communities, including refugees. By upcycling fabric off-cuts and embracing a zero-waste philosophy across our operations to achieve optimal resource efficiency. At Kian, we lead in sustainable innovation, aligning with UNSDG for responsible production and environmental stewardship, benefiting people and planet.
