Throughout the project, a total of 30,000 USD in funds was collected including RM50,000 sponsor from Hextar Global Berhad, reaching a staggering almost 2 million audiences through 17 school talks, 3 radio stations, 4 newspapers, 13 marketing campaigns, and various other channels. Over the course of a year-long project, we secured a surplus of 3,000 USD, which has been reallocated to kickstart the 2024 Buddy Not Bully Initiative anticipating new heights for the 2024 Buddy Not Bully. We are proud to announce that 80% of the 2024 committee members are reformed from the public including all major races in Malay covering all ages, demonstrating dedication to elevating the project’s exposure to different targeted audiences.
Furthermore, Buddy Not Bully received prestigious honours, winning awards for Best Inter-Organization Collaboration Project and Best of the Best Program at the National Convention of JCI Malaysia. These accolades serve as notable highlights for the 2023 Buddy Not Bully and Hextar, positioning us as role models for other local organisations looking to host similar events.
Moreover, the Buddy Not Bully project has become a subject of study for other local organisations, including JCI Lead Tropicana. These developments signify the beginning of Hextar’s increasing prominence within JCI Malaysia, as we receive more attention and recognition within the organisations.
